This Army Long Service and Good Conduct Nylon/Cotton Medal Ribbon has a width of 16mm. The Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal was used for 100 years and was instituted by King William IV. The medal was then replaced by the Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct (Military) in 1930. The medal was awarded to soldiers who had completed 21 years of service in the infantry or 24 years in the cavalry. The ribbon is crimson or sometimes reddish violet with white bands on either edge.
Many of Wyedean's braids, tapes, cords, trims and narrow fabrics are manufactured in-house in the UK, and have many varied applications with the military and other armed forces. These braids and laces can also be used in other areas such as craft, design or textile projects.
