This No 8 white buff leather waist belt is worn by the Bands and Soldiers of the Brigade of Guards in the British Army.
In December 1950 the Household Cavalry joined with the Brigade of Guards to become the Household Brigade, re-named the Household Division in July 1968; at the same time the Brigade of Guards became the Guards Division.
Please note this item does not come with the central buckle.

• Size: 4.5cm wide, 49.1cm long
• Ends: One tapered, one square with chamfered corners (square end is skived)
• Holes: 0.4cm x 1.9cm crew punch, 1.9cm from the tapered end / Six 0.3cm adjustment holes, first at 18.3cm, others 2.5cm apart
Assembly
• Square ends fold back 4cm to enclose brass rings.
• Middle section: 0.3 – 0.35cm thick buff leather, 4.5cm wide, length Dimension ‘B’ (see options above)
• One end turned back 4cm around a ring, the other doubled over, forming a two-ply section
